"The hotel was exceptional. I unfortunately hurt my ankle while in Gjirokaster and had to stay an extended amount of time in town and this is where I stayed. Originally one night I extended to three nights and the staff were happy to extend my stay for me. The staff was 24/7 and helped me order food delivery and organising the bus to Tirana. They even dropped me off at the bus stop which was super helpful due to my crutches. I would recommend a stay here for anyone who needs a couple of night in between places. Nightly price was good and the room was clean."

"Hotel magic was a convenient location along the busy boulevard with lots of shops and restaurants, and only a 20 minute walk to the old town (but uphill so some may need a taxi). The room was simple but as advertised, very clean and comfortable and everything we needed to rest after busy days exploring. The receptionist/manager was extremely friendly and helpful in recommending places in Gjirokaster and making sure our stay was as comfy as possible. They provide a fridge for free in the communal corridor and offer x2 small bottles of water with this."

"The parking isn't clear, you can either park on the street which is quite busy or ask to be shown the parking in the alley behind the hotel (the staff were very friendly to help show us this and direct parking). The bathroom is a wet room so you end up with lots of water around the toilet, however they do provide sliders/slippers to help with this. There is a small city tax that gets added on to the price of staying so bear that in mind when preparing cash for your stay."

"Fabulous choice of hotel. Sparkling clean. Great location in centre of new town right near the bus stop for the castle (40 lek) if you don't fancy the steep climb and very near the intercity bus station (6 minute walk ). Lovely helpful staff. Lots of hot water. Comfy bed. Near the shops, bakeries and eateries. Great value."

"We have booked it for one night 3 hours before arrival from Tirana. I must say it was best choose. I like hotel where I can share scent of local tradition and sounds of the day and night there. There is everything for those who like it. There also local home restaurant on the street and market and local cafeteria. Also worth to mention is the hotel manager - very helpful ."
