"We truly appreciated the staff, their behavior was warm, punctual, and filled with a subtle, witty sense of humor that made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was wholesome and satisfying, and the overall ambiance offered a rare sense of serenity. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the property. I especially loved the pool, the relaxing poolside lunches, and the delightful dinner and breakfast experiences. The terrace added a special charm, providing a perfect spot to unwind. Last but not least, the staff’s dry humor was a memorable highlight. Given the opportunity, I would gladly return to Egypt and spend a few more days at the Nile Compound again."

"Very friendly and helpful staff & owner. A special shout to Mohammad Ali (the chef) - his service was amazing & he showed us around the garden. Beautiful views from the roof terraces and a wonderful garden. We felt safe and relaxed on the premises."

"Nile Compound is home. My family and I had a wonderful time, we felt pampered and completely relaxed. It is a peaceful place where you can rest your ears and breathe fresh air. Mahmoud and Elsa were always very helpful, as was the entire staff. They helped us organise tours and always had excellent advice."

"Perfect pension on the west bank of Nile. Not far from the center though. Simple breakfasts but in a very nice setting. Beatiful view from the terrace. Nice pool. Quiet neighbourghood."

"Quietly beautiful setting with natural views on the Nile. Spacious clean rooms with rooftop terrasses for resting and dining. Friendly multi lingual boss and personal. With swimming pool and breakfast. Fauna and flora in the garden and river. Close to Valley of the kings etc... Felouca and balloon or guided trips... all possible. Best greetings at Adham and Mahmoud, Ingrid and all the rest."

"This hotel is absolutely beautiful. They have clearly put time, effort, and resources into its construction and decoration, and it was absolutely wonderful to stay in such a gorgeous place and see the carefully-selected, locally-crafted decor. It was a genuine pleasure to be in the rooms, walk around the property, and be in all the common areas. The owners are kind and communicative, and they are great cooks to boot! (The food was solidly fine - we had 2 breakfasts and a dinner there.) The room was large, comfortable, and well decorated, and had a lovely little porch area to sit and watch the desert - and a helpful drying rack for wet clothes. The staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. There is free drinking water; and the staff will make you a lovely hibiscus tea. This hotel is also eco-friendly - they seemed to limit the use of plastic as much as possible, which I hugely appreciated. I greatly enjoyed my stay, and really do recommend this hotel!"

"If you are looking for an authentic experience and want to see how people really live, that's the right place. These are guest rooms in a family home, with a separate entrance and private bathroom — everything as described. It's not a hotel, but that’s exactly what makes it special. It was a bit dusty due to the desert. It's very close to a few archeological sites. They have a restaurant and serve good food. Good breakfast. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating."

"Firstly, I am absolutely amazed by the hospitality of Everyone working at Sunrise Alma Bay Resort! Thanks to the people, their positive aura, their smiles, my stay was truly wonderful! The room was stunning! Very specious, big balcony with a great view to the pool and the sea! The cleaning service comes every day and the whole area of the resort is extremely clean. There are many activities like yoga, exercising in the pool or "olympic games", which make the stay super fun! The food was really good, starting from breakfasts (super tasty omelettes prepared on the spot) following by lunch and dinner (various options of meat, great selection of salads and desserts). I strongly recommend Sunrise Alma Bay Resort :)"
