"Zara Village exceeded our expectations! The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to access Lokobe, they even organised our guide. Our favourite was having cocktails by the infinity pool. This was definitely a highlight of our trip."

The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. "All was lovely, the food was particularly good and a pleasant surprise after some of the restaurants we had eaten at on our trip. The cottage was great, the linen very good, the swimming pool a great asset."

We would have liked to have been given sandwiches with the tea at 4pm. Slight disappointment!

"Our booking was made very late and despite this we were so warmly welcomed. There was beautiful Cape Verdean music being played when we arrived by two incredible musicians which was lovely. And the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The fresh mango juice was particularly mouthwatering!"

"Location, courtyard, the food was very good, the room had a lot of heating (allmost too much). I don't know why some people complained about the food, it was very good, especially their sausages."

The rooms could use a little bit of repairs. The window cover kept falling off and the shower door kept getting out of the tracks.

"Great value for money. If you intend to stay at the university, this hotel has everything one needs and is in close walking distance. Also, the rooms are tidy, and the staff is very friendly."

The reception was almost never occupied, and the person on the indicated phone number did not speak English. So checking in and paying was a bit tricky. Internet is a bit slow for working, but OK. Also, mind that you may need to bring your own shampoo, soap, and hair dryer.

"Location is at walking distance from many points of interest. Room has a little kitchen with stove and small refrigerator. There is no Coffee maker though. Room has A/C, hot water, TV with Netflix. It is a good choice for the price and it is comfortable. It is also very quiet."

It said had parking included but you need to park on the street or pay a parking lot. Besides the guy that received us for the check-in never saw anyone else in the front desk during our stay to ask questions or guide us on anything. Other than that the place is good to stay and will definitely go back
