Located 500 metres from Ljubljana Bus and Train Station, Hostel Celica is a unique design hostel situated in the autonomous culture zone Metelkova City in the centre of Ljubljana. Free WiFi is provided in all areas. The rooms and dormitories in this hostel have been individually designed by different local and international artists and reflect the history of this former prison. Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge to all guests, while shared or private bathrooms come with a shower. Guests can relax and meet new people in the cafe, garden terrace and other common areas. Bike hire is available on site, while various day trips and tours can be booked at the reception. The historic centre of Ljubljana can be reached in 1.2 km, while Tivoli Park is at a distance of 1.7 km. The hostel also features the Museum of Confinement and an art gallery, as well as the Point of Peace spiritual room. Ljubljana Airport is 32 km away, and the property can organize shuttle transfer upon request and at a surcharge. Free public parking is provided nearby.

"The beds were a bit squished, of course, it was an old prison but in the 12 people dorm there is no space to put your things. There is a locker for your luggage but not somewhere to leave your glasses or the small stuff"

"This is a very interesting place! I recommend it to everyone to visit. Breakfast is nice, rooms are very interesting and the lobby is a very cool place to play board games and meet other people. I liked the all glass part with tables as well, and the backyard looks nice, even though it was snowing so we didn’t use it, but it looked very good for the summer."
"The private room is very dark, it would be nice if there were more lights. Also one little light did not work so maybe if it worked it would be better. The down sheets and pillowcase were put on, and the sheet covers were not. It was not a problem for me to put it, which I started doing, when I realized that one sheet itself is covered with dark hair all over it. It was really a lot and hairs of different sizes. It has also spread over the double bed which was not cool! We asked for another one and got it, which is okay. I think the problem is from the start not putting on the covers on sheets, because I can imagine someone coming tired or lazy in the room and not putting the cover, so these things happen for other guests.."
