"Both bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely, place was very clean, location is close to Angouleme. Hosts are lovely. Restaurant /bar, small supermarket and bakery just a few minutes walk from house."

"De rust, en de bungalow was erg groot en luxe. Uitstekend ingericht, in de keuken was werkelijk alles aanwezig. Bedden waren heerlijk. Lekker terras met voldoende privacy. Zwembad heerlijk. Elke vraag of opmerking werd meteen opgepakt. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Tip: met hond is de beste uitlaatplaats direct tegenover de Vival. Op ongeveer 200 meter afstand. Bakker daarnaast is uitstekend. Lekker gebak. Aan de eigenaren: heel erg bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid."

"Excellent accueil, les hôtes sont soucieux de notre bien-être et sont disponibles. Les chambres et salles de bain sont spacieuses et le décor est raffiné. Le jardin est très reposant et nous avons énormément apprécié de prendre nos repas en terrasse dans l’odeur des fleurs d’orangers . Nous vous recommandons vivement ce beau lieu de séjour !"

"Beautiful property in a very quiet part of the town, Maria could not have been more welcoming, showing us around her garden and orchard. It was great to see her chickens wandering around the garden, scratching for food, and of course we enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast. We also received a warm welcome from her cat, one of the friendliest cats I have ever met."

"Heerlijke rustige en prachtige plek om na een dag op pad te zijn geweest hier weer terug te keren. Of om gewoon met een boekje aan het zwembad of in de mooie tuin bij te komen. We werden prima verzorgd door Willem en hij heeft fantastische tips: welke restaurants, waar parkeren, waar naar strand, wat is de moeite waard in de omgeving etc. Dat scheelt een hoop uitzoekwerk. Alles was erg schoon en de inrichting van de kamer was ook heel mooi. Net alles weer geschilderd. We gaan zeker terug!"

"The gite was clean, well equipped and ideally situated for visiting many of the chateaux in the Loire, Cher and Indrois valleys. The gite is set in the centre of the owner's forest with their own house nearby. The location is very calm, peaceful and private, and it was easy to sleep late, especially with such a comfortable bed! Catherine and her husband Xavier and later their daughter, Hortense, who also lives close by, made us very welcome and we enjoyed an early evening aperitif with them during our stay when we were treated to the sight of a magnificent stag with huge antlers which stood proudly guarding one of the does from his harem that was feeding at the edge of our clearing. A great stay, thankyou Catherine, Xavier and Hortense for your welcome and hospitality - and also the cyclamen plants - Wendy will be sending a photo."

"Very big, spacious apartment with everything you need for your stay including things like oil, salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets etc. Nice quiet area and parking on the property. About a 30 minute walk to the old town/castle. Train station is very close and there is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away."
