На две минути от магазини и ресторанти. Непосредствено до туристическият информационен център. От тук тръгват маршрутите към планината. Щастливи сме, че избрахме тази квартира! Последният ден от престоят ни домакинята приготви вкусни палачинки за всички наематели! Ще се върнем!"

"The big windows in one room. The other room had no windows though, though this made it a lot quieter than the room with windows overlooking the car park. The woman who cooked breakfast was always so friendly and nice."

THE TOILET IS IN THE ROOM. there is room for a door, but not a door. There is no privacy. It’s overlooking a car park. It’s super noisy. No cleaning or refreshing the room during your stay. Told us the front desk closed at 5.30pm late morning of the day we were due to arrive.

"Rooms are spread over several terraces with lots of flowers. We were on the top and had a great view. Being at elevation, it's nice and cool at night. No fans needed. Great new showers with good hot water. They have a pump system through which there is still water when the power is out. A generator is turned on if there is a power cut in the morning or evening. The restaurant is very good. During lunch it is particularly well visited. For breakfast and dinner it's primarily hotel guests. Great breakfast with lots of fruits and good bread. Dinner was a daily changing dish by a daily rotating local chef. Large parking lot. Nearby attractions are Monte Café and Cascata de São Nicolau."

We arrived right on the day of a big storm which primarily hit the highlands. For the next few days CST, the telephone company, was everywhere fixing lines. There was no wifi for the whole two days we were at the hotel. It is possible that this was a consequence of the storm. We made it work with mobile data. The hotel sells credits if you have a CST Sim card.

"Der Frühstück war aus lokalen Produkten, ganz fein und serviert direkt im schönen Garten. C’est le plus beau et agréable endroit pour passer un moment de joie. L’accueil est adorable et sincère. L’histoire de la maison comble le reste. C’est tout simplement un musée vivant , qu’on ne peut pas oublié. Aucun compliment peut exprimer notre joie ici. "Well kept clean house. The owner tried really hard to reach Western standard of living (limited by being in the Solomons of course). Solar hot water, large fridge/freezer of 300L plus. 24 hour electricity. No aircon but the house is extremely well ventilated. Open plan big kitchen, 4 burner gas hob, huge lounge with modern couches. 2 rooms + 1 bathroom on each side of the lounge, so totally 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water shower! I wish I could share photos but booking.com doesn't have upload button."

1. The cost is per person, not per room, but somehow not clearly displayed on booking.com. 2. This is an isolated house on the water edge, private and peaceful, but 40min walking through muddy path to get to seghe town/Airport although a boat transfer is only 5min. You need to bring all your food in and cook during your stay. 3. You need to enquire about the boat transfer cost, to be clear what trips are included, and what are not, otherwise you will have surprise bill in the end. 4. The water pump stopped during my 2 showers, someone needed to run downstairs to restart the pump so I could finish my showers. 5. There is no mirror in the entire house, and no towel rails in either bathroom. Maybe the owner can install them?

"Great location 3 minutes walk from the main square, a beautiful cave room and a hotel with a character. Stunning views from the restaurant, very helpful and professional receptionist (Fifi). Breakfast with a wide choice of food."

Wifi was very poor in our room, but it worked well in the hotel restaurant

"Although a 30-40 minute bus ride from Chania town, Summer Lodge is a Fantastic place if you want to be away from the busy places. A peaceful and pretty hotel with a Lovely vibe...There are places nearby to get food and drink and the mostly deserted beach is just a few minutes walk away. The bus stops are close by also - So nothing was ever too much effort. The owners of the property were kind, chatty and helpful. And last but not least the two cats at the hotel were a Joy to be around !! If I get the chance to go back to Chania I would definitely stay at this hotel again !9"

Being near the main road, although handy can be a bit noisy at times but it never bothered me too much. The individual refrigerator in the room was very noisy and I did wake up to it a couple of times.

The room was clean, tidy, and pleasant, a cozy little guest unit that felt very private and welcoming. She’s also an amazing cook, the meals were delicious, thoughtful, and full of love. All around is the magical quiet of an authentic village, with green nature and a calming view. You’ll also be greeted by Chucha, the sweet family dog, who clearly loves guests and adds even more charm to the stay. A warm, peaceful local experience, exactly what I was hoping to find."

"We had an amazing stay! The hosts Kristina and Kozma and their cute little dog were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. They even shared the tastiest fresh tomatoes from their garden. The balcony had a gorgeous view over the sea, and they were kind enough to give us a ride back to Vlora. Honestly, such lovely people – highly recommend!"

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times
